If Barack Obama is the answer, then it was a stupid question...

Hilarious I know.  Now on to the debate.  I thought it was pretty unremarkable.  Biden did better than expected, but the reason being no one expected much from him because he usually says the most ridiculous things.  He definitely was more vocal and fluent than Ryan.  I think I was a little disappointed in Ryan because he usually "brings it" in interviews.  Ryan definitely held his own, but I wish he would have defended himself more.  For example, when Joe lied about voting "no" for the war and attacked about how it was put on credit.  I wish Ryan would have said something like "Of course I voted to go to war, bin Laden was out there still planning attacks, America was attacked, and we needed to show the terrorist that attacking America (and everyone for that matter, young women that want to get an education, etc) is not okay!"  You notice that lied is italicized and that is because directly after the debate msnbc fact checked Biden's statement and said he voted "yes" for the war in Iraq.  A lot of other things he said weren't true like denying that the embassy asked for extra security.  Not only did the administration know they asked for more security, they denied their request.  Also, I don't think Barack and Joe understand economics or math (well this goes without saying when looking at the last four years).

When Biden kept saying it is their own responsibility to take care of themselves, I'm bothered that I partly agree with him.  But then I remember the attacks on normal citizens that are happening daily/weekly - the cnn article about the young woman that was shot in the head - and realized that helping everyone around the world is our duty.  To whom much is given, much is required.

I will totally buy my daughter this shirt:

Solyndra, Beacon Power, Abound Solar

Another company that the Obama administration invested in has gone bankrupt.  Surprise surprise.  If the renewable energy market was profitable, the private sector would invest in it.  But instead, tax payers are forced to pay for an industry that is a huge inefficient waste of money.  Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of clean energy, but there is an intelligent way to do it.  Steady progress without killing all other industries and the jobs that go with them.  But some things can't be written in the same sentence like "Obama and intelligent" and "government and efficient..." unless of course the word "not" comes before them.

If Obama cared at all about the middle class then he would have put energy policies that helped them as Romney plans to do.  America is so rich with resources throwing that all away is a sign of arrogance and ignorance.  We have the resources to become energy independent.  Why is this great?  Because we can employ many people by harvesting our own coal, oil, and natural gas while we fairly and steadily invest in biofuels, wind, solar, electric, and nuclear.  We can bring down gas prices so that middle class Americans can afford to drive to work, take their children to activities, and heat their homes in the winter.  You know what also uses energy?  Every single business.

Obamaphone continued.

So I just was reading through my normal websites like I do about 5 times a day (I sit at a computer all day). Foxnews.com, msnbc.com, cnn.com, etc  And I stumbled upon this article and thought I would post it because of the viral video that has stolen the hearts of many Americans across the country.

My favorite thing about this article is the richest man in the world getting richer off lower middle class/middle class Americans and the fact that we are all paying for cell phones for the unemployed.  I originally thought the free cell phones was a non-profit charity, but in fact it is on our cell phone bills:

"Griffin recently introduced a bill on Capitol Hill to end the Lifeline program, which cost $1.6 billion in 2011, up from $772 million in 2008. While not technically a tax, the program is funded by mandatory fees tacked on to consumers' phone bills, then disbursed through the Federal Communications Commission and states."

Sure enough I went to my phone bill and under "surcharges; government programs" there is a couple dollar charge every month.  Awesome.

Obama re-elected?

The vast majority why Mr. Barack "can't say his middle name" Obama will be elected:

let's talk about how smart we are plus other random things

I don't know what to blog about. I asked Devin and he said I should write about how smart he is.

The truth is, he's really smart. I "helped" him studying for his last test in Micro/Virology/Immunology which he had to memorize like I don't know a million different viruses, bacteria, and parasites and he passed with flying colors.

So smart.

Well, I'm kinda smart too. I'm officially back in school. I'm planning on pursuing an ASN degree in nursing, and if all goes well I should graduate May 2014 (exactly one year from Devin's graduation). Anyways, I'm only taking one class now, Anatomy, and it's AMAZING. Let me just say that the human body is spectacular. I mean we just finished a chapter on bones, and the design of the compact bone (the outer layer of bone) is just brilliant.

My first test was two weeks ago, and I got the highest grade in the class, a 103%. I was pretty proud until I overheard some girls in the back whisper, "Ew someone got a 103%?"

Yea, I'm kinda a nerd like that.

In other news, well there really isn't any other news other than we still have two cats named Henry and Lucy and I'm still not pregnant.

But I did receive a sweet church calling. I'm the official library assistant for the Des Moines 2nd Ward.

Best... Calling.... Ever.

Because I know ya'll are just dying to know...

At three years Henry:

- loves to stick his paw into the printer and pull the sheets out.
- loves to lay on top of random things (keyboard, mouse, keyboard and mouse) because it's comfortable to him?
- weighs like 20 pounds
- has to be the first to eat every time new food comes into the bowl. He makes Lucy wait.
- loves to hang around, bathe in the sun, and just be awesome.
- still hates Heidi.

At three years Lucy:

- loves to lay in the sun and look out the window.
- is afraid of her own shadow.
- refuses to leave the basement unless forced.
- weights like 10 pounds.
- very cautious and passive.
- tolerant, let's Henry pounce on her and eat before her.
- loves to nudge all up on Devin's beard.
- still hates Heidi with a passion (an sometimes Henry).

Tomorrow's my birthday, so make sure you wish me a Happy Birthday! And we're leaving in like two days! First stop, Chicago on Sunday, then Des Moines on Monday where we'll be for the next three years.
